Prina Scot

Prina Scot | Our Founder

Prina Scot is the founder of Project Hope, a non-profit venture seeking to inspire brighter futures through promoting education in the developing world.

Prina was born in a rural Punjabi village in Pakistan and migrated with her immediate family to Australia as a refugee in 1989 at the age of six. She is currently employed as a Guidance Officer with Education Queensland. Her career as an educator has spanned more than 20 years across early childhood and secondary school settings in Australia and in Asia.

Prina has a passion for supporting young people to rise above challenges, particularly young people from under-privileged and disadvantaged backgrounds in developing countries. She believes in the power education has to inspire brighter futures and has a vision to raise awareness and support in order to serve under-serviced communities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Secondary Education / Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement Studies), Queensland University of Technology
  • Master of Counselling, Christian Heritage College
  • Master of Education (Guidance Counselling), University of Southern Queensland
